THE MEMORY THAT YOU NEVER FORGET IS WITH US...
The cabins stand in the heart of the park flanked by the beautiful mill river that meanders through the Brightwell valley and the picturesque Brightwell woods.
Our cabins sleep up to groups of 4 people. We can accommodate most group sizes so get in touch to book your stay. They are constructed on bespoke pine decks that also provide enough hard standing for alfresco dining areas and relaxing on hot summer days and evenings.
About Glamping at Brightwell Country Park
The site boasts a custom-made log cabin that’s home to the toilet and shower facilities. Each cubical has its own shower, sink and toilet. The toilet block also offers a wet room for glampers with additional needs.
During the day glampers can enjoy the on-site activities that include, biking on the twisted oaks bike park and trails or fishing on the two stocked ponds on site. The mountain biking can be booked at the shop or via the Twisted Oaks website. The fishing can be booked when you reserve your cabin. Equipment is also available to hire for both these activities. Please see below for pricing.
If these activities don’t appeal glampers can enjoy the surrounding countryside and indigenous wildlife via the accessible track that runs around the site. There are also a variety of other walks available close to the site. There are two local pubs that are in walking distance that serve excellent local beers and have excellent menus.
The park is situated equal distant between Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Ipswich and Newbourne. These are all a short drive away and offer many shops, pubs and restaurants, if people wish to explore the local area.
Each tent is equipped with cooking facilities a gas burner and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a BBQ area where people can use the BBQs provided. Although Glampers are asked to provide their own charcoal and fire lighters, these can be purchased on site. Fire pits and wood along with gas BBQ’s can be hired for an additional fee.
Some of the cabins are fitted with small log burners that provide a welcome source of heat in the colder months. These are not suitable for very young children to be around. Logs for these can be purchased on site.
Book today and discover this hidden gem deep in the Suffolk countryside.
Naturally Beautiful
The Glamping was set up in 2022 once the bike park was established. The owners always had an idea that they wanted to utilise this beautiful area for a pursuit like glamping that might help safeguard this special location for future generations to enjoy.
The Brightwell country park project has seen much investment in biodiversity in the area through a relentless tree planting initiative and enhancement of natural features such as the spring fed ponds and wild habitat for the indigenous wildlife like badgers and foxes.
Since the park opened cyclist campers and the natural inhabitants of the woodland have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship. Many of the species of plant and animal have returned as the land has been handed back from its days as a space to rear pheasants for local shoots.
If you’re lucky you’ll have the chance to spot many of these locals during your stay including Badgers, otters, foxes, dear and a family of king fishers!
